I recorded several songs (hymn arrangements) before I took your class but I don’t think that "Savior like a Shepherd" was one of them. I'll either try and recreate that one the way I use to play (which may be tough) or re-record one of the others for a comparison (maybe "What a friend" or "His eye is on the Sparrow"). I played for someone yesterday and they were blown away with how much my playing has changed in 6-8 months, and they mentioned not not only the tonality was much better, the fluidness of my playing had dramatically become better, that I was playing effortlessly and not struggling or being choppy.

I just want to say thanks for getting me going in the right direction. I actually enjoy playing the piano now, and play everyday. I play at the jam sessions often, I play for a jazz trio, I playing at a new church now (paid also), I play for a rock and roll band about once a month, I just finished playing for the "king and i" (which they paid me for) plus I'm working on a couple of CD projects with some other people.

I will say though, that for anyone wanting to advance their playing, and of course you know this, that it requires not only practice, but they need to study and learn as much about music improv as possible and listen to other good players and try and understand what they are doing.

Anyway, thanks again and I'll send you the recordings.
