Jazz Coaching and Consulting

Chuck discovered many years ago that there are people that, although classically trained and play for personal enjoyment, have a deep desire to improve their skills by learning to improvise like a jazz musician.

Chuck coaches and teaches the stuff that is not in books anywhere and usually only available through professional relationships with other working musicians.

Chuck does it through 1-on-1 personal sessions that last an hour or so and, if not weekly, are about a month apart.

Church Musicians

An informal survey of church musicians (all instruments) revealed that if there was one thing that they could study to improve their music skills for playing praise and worship services, it would be to improvise like a jazz musician.

Therefore Chuck wrote a novel called "Rhythms of Change" that contains God’s Rules For Music. The book provides the basis for a series of seminars for church musicians. (See Music/Author)

Each  seminar is taught in a “combo” setting.
